Hardware and Software Technologies

Till 2005 the company’s data was collected and stored either manually or on Microsoft Word. They were using Pentium One only for the record of having a computer; therefore MIS was not in use at that time. They did have Oracle 8 but it was not being utilized.
Now with the help of Rashid Mahmud, a software developer in NESPAK, the company is using ORACLE DEVELOPER 11G TB that is used for database management system; basically it’s a J2EE-based application development suite from Oracle that is used to write Java, XML and Web services applications. It includes the JDeveloper development environment as well as Forms Developer for forms design, Designer for modeling and application generation, Discoverer for query and reporting and a variety of other tools.
Each user is equipped with Pentium 4 for system development.
Microsoft office 2010 is used in the company to add on the efficiency level of the work. Especially Access is used as a tracking system. There is no centralized or integrated MIS in NESPAK, different modules handle different things.
The process to hire engineers is done through advertisements on their website. The candidate applying is allotted points according to his experience, education and the interview. There is a fully automated system in the selection criteria of employees and HRM department only has to take the final decision.
